Valentine’s Day is remembered for lots of reasons – chocolates, cards, and most notably to remember a special someone or people in our life.
This year, Valentine’s Day was particularly special for me because a labor of love was delivered to my doorstep in a plain, brown box. Hot off the press, my vocabulary book arrived!
Although the book had been out for a few days, and available for pre-order for several weeks, there is nothing quite like holding it in your hands! Proof that it actually exists. This is my first book so you’ll have to forgive my geekiness. It feels as great as I thought it would.
Blended Vocabulary is different than any other vocabulary book (and there are many excellent ones) you may have sitting on your bookshelf. Blended Vocabulary focuses on supporting vocabulary in the digital age. I’ll unpack specifically what makes this book unique and a must-have in my next post.
I’m very excited about this book and the potential for influencing more effective vocabulary instruction in classrooms, schools and districts across the country (and world). Over the next few weeks, my co-author Angela Peery (@drangelapeery), and I will be blogging using excerpts and strategies from the book.
In the meantime, you can check out the table of contents by clicking on the links below (click the image once to enlarge).
